OOps, better add those details. I'm Canadian. I just saw a question where this guy wanted to move anywhere in the world BUT Canada. So, I just wanted to know why not Canada. I love your responses. Thanks States for sticking up for us, up here.

Not too much.......we have a great vast beautiful country that can vary in terrain from flat prairies to the highest mountains, and most fresh water on the planet and so much more!!!!! Sure we have colder winters...but not everywhere...and the summers are nice and if you are not too far north..we are talking Yukon and Nunavut...the winters aren't all that bad either!!! It is a versatile and accepting country...and our people really are NICE!!! We have prejudice...but are generally open and accepting of all races, colours and nationalities. We are peaceful and keep our noses in our own business world wide....usually. We have the best salmon fishing and lobster, the best beef in the world, and can boost about our world class cities like Toronto, Montreal and Vancouver. We have colourful and artistic money...that you can tell the difference between a 5 and 10 without reading the # on it, we have government funded health care for everyone, and kick butt in hockey!!!! We are officially bi lingual and proud of our past and have a strong future. And definitely not wanting to be the glory hound, bully like our American neighbours!!!!!! So I see nothing wrong with this great country called Canada.!!!!!

Canada is a good country....but
1. Takes too much time to give immigration visas...4-5 years!
2. No policies for the industrial work force...
3. No definite agenda for the next ten years despite the fact that if the older generation is not replaced by the younger soon a huge vaccum of worklessness will be created.
4. Takes too much time to welcome and make a comparative studies of his/her qualifications to assist him in settling down in the new country...
Policies need to be revised and quickly...

I live in Canada I am sick and tired of this talk about us . The uneducated people talking stuff about us . I think we should all just get along. And please enough with the stereotypes about being could whatever... We are not all cold all year long . Believe it or not we have some of the same weather as the US. Maybe people should come and visit and see for themselves instead of talking crap about us.

The only thing that's wrong with Canada is that they tolerate the intolerant ones. And yes, I'm talking about their immigration policy.

It's too close to the U.S.
Otherwise it's a pretty good place to live. It's a very new country so there isn't as much culture as other countries. The cost of living is good and the health benefits. Yep, good place to raise a family. Good gun laws too.

Whiny brats of politicians. It's like they never escaped the school yard playground. And our military. I hate war and all that but we don't support our troops they way they need or deserve. But the snow sure rocks up here!!

they choose to remain neutral when their neighbor (the US) is at war. they constantly complain about the U.S. government and yet they do nothing about it. it's freakin' cold up there year around. they won't let Quebec become an independent nation although Quebec has petitioned several times. their baseball team sucks. that's all I can think of for now.

Nothing, I'm American and live in the US but I love vacationing up there and have several good friends that live in BC and Alberta.

there's nothing wrong with canada. us americans just need someone to blame all of our **** on, and canada is just there. that and mexico....we make fun of mexicans a lot too. it's disgusting really. we're really racist.
