because it doesn't make sense if she just did it in order for them to escaped. because the kraken is not only after captain jack right? its in the pirates of the carribean the dead man's chest.

Actually, Kraken was only after Jack. He had the black mark in his hand, no one else did. Davy Jones had instructed Kraken to kill Jack. Elizabeth kissed him so she could handcuff him to the ship.
Also because I think she loves him, too. It would be hard to choose between Jack and Will!!! LOL!

She kissed Jack in order to chain him to the mast in order for her and the others to have time to get away from the Kraken. All the Kraken wanted was the man with the "sign" and that was Captain Jack, no one and nothing else. By chaining him to the mast, the Kraken stayed there and didn't follow the long boat which it surely would have done if Jack would have been on board.

She knew that he was unscrupulous and would make the moves on her if given a chance, so she used it to distract him. The kraken was after him because he made a promise to Davie Jones, which involved his soul, now his time is up and Davie Jones is out to collect. If he's away from them, then the Kraken won't follow them.

You see earlier in the movie that the compass (which points to what your heart desired most) kept pointing to Jack. She was curious and really it was a trickery and a reward for being a 'good man' but Elizabeth has always wanted to be a pirate. I think that scene was showing her trickery and cunning. But yeah it was a hot kiss!

The Kraken was sicced on Jack by Davy. Davy was worried that Jack had his heart from the chest, which Davy already knew was enpty.
Elizabeth needed Jack distracted so she could handcuff him. While she was kissing him, he was compliant and she could back him wherever she wanted.

LIZ needsta get with JAAACKKKK.
I wish they could expand the possible romance a little more.
My idea of a story:
Let's say Liz gets kidnapped by some villain pirate.
Jack may (at first) not come to her rescue (especially after what she did), but later decides that he cares enough about her to rescue her.
Will may also "go the distance" to rescue Liz as well but hopes to get to her before Jack does (since he's (Will) jealous).
Later when Will sees Jack and Liz together, he'll realize how much she really loves Jack instead of him.
However, Will may get mad and try to convince Liz about how much he loves her and then ask her to marry him in a "final wedding." Liz (though with many doubts) will say yes and a ceremony is prepared for a second time.
When Jack hears that Liz and Will are about to get married, he'll be sad (but he hides his feelings) and gets ready sail away with his pirate crew on the Black Pearl.
BUTTTTT on the day of the wedding, Liz will realize how much she misses and wants Jack. She runs from the wedding and tells Will how she loves him, but is not "in love" with him. Will understands this and let's her go.
Just before the Black Pearl leaves the port, Captain Jack suddenly hears a shout...."Jack!!! JACK!!! Wait!!! Surely you can let one more person on your ship!!"----
Jack smiles when he's sees that it is Elizabeth who is running towards the ship.
Elizabeth races up on deck, wraps her arms around Jack and says.."Don't worry, Jack. I'm not going to chain you this time." She smiles as Jack pulls her closer to him and then.......THEY KISS!!!! and the beautiful music plays as the credits start to roll up.

to tie him up.im a pirates fanand i got real angry when i saw that.i hope she loves will cause she was crying when the witch asked them if theyd do anything to revive jack.i really hope elizabeth and will stay together,and if she loves jack i hope will slices him up with his sword!!!!!!!!!!

no right then it was only after captain jack sparrow because he had not given davey jones his soul and so davey jones sent it after him ..and she kissed him because she was distracting him so she could tie him up!
