See the thing is i like this guy and he calls me every time his girlfriend breaks up with him. Does that mean he likes me?

for now, youre the one he counts on to help him get thru it. there could be more, but dont let yourself be pulled into being the rebound. just be his friend. talk to him, listen to him. be happy for him when he moves on. maybe one day, there might be more between you and him. but dont push it. and dont get your heart into it.
i had a friend who talked to me while he was getting divorced, and even just my being there for him to talk to was too much. i wasnt attracted to him, and never felt any romantic feelings for him, but, because he could count on me, he started telling me he was in love with me, and it really just made me dread having to talk to him. i finally got the point across to him-- after having to get really mean because he woulnt listen as long as i tried to be nice about it.
either way, you dont want to be where youre not wanted. just accept the situation for what it is. dont dream that its more. if hes really your friend and you care about him as a friend, then just keep yourself as a friend to him. you dont want to push the relationship past the point of no return, where you can longer be friends at all.
if it really bugs you, and all you can do is obsess about a relationship with him, get a notebook and write him a letter. tell him how you feel. what you want. where you want your relationship to go. get it all out of your system. but keep the letter or throw it away. dont give it to him. you'll have said what you wanted to say, and you'll feel better having it off your chest. i had ot do that with another friend of mine. once i wrote it all out and laid everything out on that piece of paper, i felt better. i could look at my friend and not be thinking of all the things we could be doing. we're still the best of friends today.

Because of two thinks really. One he feels that you are a great friend and he can talk to you and you are there to pull him back up. Or two you are there to be his rebound girl just to piss her off. I woudl step back and just look. If he likes you then he wont keep going back to her. Be a friend but dont feel his needs but just someone to talk too.

I think he likes you as a Friend, because he is lonely now and needs someone to talk to.Sounds to me that he trusts you and feels safe around you.
