IE is a resource hogging program.

Click Ctrl+Alt+Del and see the memory usage.

Get more RAM, you'll see a difference immediately.

Firefox takes longer to open than IE and also uses more system memory, people will say it doesn't but it does. It's still a better browser because of security but it is NOT faster than IE in the slightest.

Not sure. How long of a delay are you experiencing? Try using firefox!

You can try deleting all your temporary files...
