yes , actually. If you spend a LOT of time with people that are funny and constantly making jokes, some of their jokes will rub off on you. Also, it'll teach you the 'not funny' jokes or things/topics to stay away from while joking. Mostly though, Its about attitude. You could say the funniest joke ever and it wouldnt get a laugh if you werent smiling, playful, and had good timing and say the right joke to the right people.
"You're mom is like a hockey player- she only changes her pads every three periods"
See thats not funny if A.) Its not in person B.) you are talking about hockey C.) If everyone is making fun/ joking around with someone

Yes! But once you've learned how to be funny through vast experience, then you need to "abandon" yourself to "funny" in order to keep it alive, or all you'll look like is an understudy to some outdated comedian. Good luck and God Bless you.

no. being funny is God's gift to ugly people. since they are revolting to society, they must have something redeemable to make their existence on God's green earth tolerable---thus they are born with the funny trait. funny looking, funny person. makes sense?

i am not funny, nor do i try to be.

I don't think so, most people who are funny are naturally born like that. But you might be able to improve your humor by taking lessons. I think.

I believe so, because you can have dry humor. Anyone who can memorise a joke can be funny.
