WOW! What a tough position you are in right now! How old are you?
If you are younger and have no way of driving, I'd say let him go, but keep communication open. You never know what lies in the future!
If you are an adult, then it would depend on the distance you'll be apart. If it's only a few hours, then maybe you can make it work. If you'll be half-way across the country from him, then I say break it off and keep communication open (for the same as above!)
How does HE feel about your moving? Why are you moving? Is there a possibility he can move with you?
Sounds like you two have a lot to discuss before you make the decision! You HAVE to follow your heart, too!
GOOD LUCK!!!!!

I thought about this as well when my boyfriend of three months moved to arizona to go to college, while I stayed behind to go to csusb. We talked or im'ed nightly- and 2 years later, were still together. You should do what you feel is right. Only break up if you feel that your relationship can't sustain after you move.

I had a g/f at college and we were togeather for 4 yrs. I moved back home but we stayed close, we talked on the phone and saw eachother when we were could.
We've made it through all of that and I'd say that one of the most important variables in the equation was trust, we trusted eachother and let eachother live without drama and waited for eachother.

to "date" or "go out" with someone means exactly how it sounds. so to break up just means no more movies or dances or dinners. now its all intellectual and heart felt. you have a lot more stories to share with different people. lead your heart to where your home is. leave your memories with him. say good-bye in person instead of over the phone. don't go away knowing you have left your heart with him. take it with and give him a great big piece. stay in touch with him..

Yes. It will happen anyway. Just break up and still offer to date if he comes into town.
