sun or taning booth

A great way to maintain a tan is with a gradual tanner. I am a professional Esthetician and see lots of costly tanners and still my favorite tanner is made by a company called Malibu and I bought it at walmart. It is $6.00 and it comes in a 18oz bottle. It smells the best and it claims to have hemp in it. The one thing, it is a gradual tanner which means that its harder to make mistakes, use too much and keeps you from looking like a carrot because it is gradual. It is just like the jergens build a tan but those still stink and cost more per oz. This rocks ladies! The tan is so natural and all you have to do is apply after each shower. Have fun and look tan without all the wrinkles and sun damage. I live in S Cali and I get away with it all the time even on the beach.

I went to a tanning bed almost every day during winter. I wanted a good tan when spring arrived. Then I layed in the sun for an hour everyday. Needless to say I have a great tan,and most people think they look great as do I ,but it will eventually cause your skin to look like leather if you do it year after year. I am not going to do it again.

To maintain a tan, you can either lie out in the sun for 1/2 hour with using at least #30 sunblock. If you have the money to invest in one of the self-tanners, Lancomb or Clarions has excellent tanners. Be sure to apply evenly and don't let clothing touch for about 1/2 hour. I use Lancomb on my legs and they look great all summer. I hate lying out in the sun! The sun is bad for facial skin, too!

Are you talking indoor tan or outdoor?

If you are talking indoor, you need to tan enough so that you get a base tan.. then you need to tan ATLEAST 2-4 times a week.. And use a INDOOR lotion.. I use SEX KITTEN lotion.. it works the best for me.

OR

If you are talking OUTDOOR, I would tan at least 3-4 times a week.. and use an OUTDOOR lotion with a minumum of 4 spf.

GOOD LUCK

The sun and sunbeds are a no no.They cause cancer. If you want to keep looking like your tanned use L'oreal towelette and jergens in between. It really works and dries fast.

I never knew that normal people had to maintain it. I come from porta rico and I am already tan. I never have to use sun lotion or anything. but keep trying cause you'll never have to use sun lotion again once you are tan.

Keep tanning or laying out. Or use fake tan lotion. Which sucks.

sunbathe, use bronzer, always moisturise. i like the bronzer, always use sunblocker even tho' it causes you to tan slower it prevents sun cancer. use the tan in a can spray booth, looks real and takes seconds.
