Hilarious and Fascinating - Owen Gleiberman, Entertainment Weekly... It's funny and it makes you think; isn't that the definition of a good joke? - Josh Bell, Las Vegas Weekly... Hilarious, jarring, shocking - Chris Carle, IGN Filmforce...

I have to say that it was the most painful movie I ever sat through. I kept waiting for it to be funny and it refused. I will frequently find myself at a theater being the only one (or one of few) that "gets the joke" when one is "slid in", but this movie..... Am I the only one who didn't "get it"?

Yeah....I didn't like it either.

Thank god I rented the DVD instead of wasting my money seeing it at the theatre.

Still, I felt it was a waste of a rental!

Yes, I "got" the joke......and thre "movie" played more like a documentary than anything else.....but, man OH man, I really didn't need 90 minutes of the SAME friggin' joke!!!

Who's "bright" idea was that?? Guy should be shot! LOL!

I give it 1 "stars" out of 5, because Gilbert Gotfried was funny

I don't know what movie robertonduty saw... I saw this at the Deep Focus film Festival, and think it is one of the smartest and funniest movies I have ever seen. A bunch of friends and I are still talking about it. Every one of us found different things all through the whole movie. It's only repetitious if you are not watching for the nuances and subtle variations in each different version. Little things make a big difference every time someone else tells the joke. Some are funnier than others, but none of the people I saw it with agree on who - some love what others didn't and vice versa (except we all agree SarahSilverman, Taylor Negron, Bob Saget, Gilbert Godfrey and Billly the Mime are hilarious). Yeah, some of it is childish but that's part of the fun, and kinda the whole point of it. Let yourself go and see what happens. The creativity is amazing, no matter how filthy. But it's got so much to say about being free, and about the art and craft of comedy. when you see how many different ways this one joke can go, it is truly amazing. I thought it was just going to be a dirty joke, but it is also about crossing lines and where are those lines anyway? It's hilarious to see all these big stars just being silly and having a blast. It's like we're at their private party and they don't care what anyone thinks. We all LOVED this movie and can't wait to see it again because we missed so much from all the laughing throughout.

I didn't like it either. I don't think I laughed once, I can't remember. I know what you mean about being the "only one who gets the joke" but yeah, I guess this one was a little out of my league. And I liked the South Park movie, to the one guy who said if you didn't like the Aristocrats you probably didn't like South Park.

I thought the movie was hilarious...and most of the people I know who saw it felt the same way. Guess it wasn't you're type of humour...I guess you didn't like the South Park movie either.

I have no idea what you think is funny...

Also, agree it was about the comedians...and I love Gilbert Gottfried...

I enjoyed it on dvd... glad I didn't go to a theater. Then again, I like Penn and Teller.

It's not about the joke itself, it's about the comics.

personally, I pee-ed my self laughing.
In and of itself "the joke" really is not funny at all. Howvever, watching these (...very good, very bad, some in between...) comedians disect the joke and analyze what is funny, and not funny...
hey, I really enjoyed the film!

No, I'm sure that there were plenty of others. I myself found it fascinating, albeit fairly tedious and monotonous.
