I have heard a number of opinions on the leagality of this... is it okay to download a song as long as you don't burn a copy, or is it illeagal no matter what..

I read a lot about this issue. The government is really going after people who have thousands of songs in their shared folder. So as long as you keep those to a minimal, or have no shared folder at all, you should be fine.

IT's ILLEGAL. (period)
There is no other opinion to this....U burn it or soak it...it's still illegal...
Comon man...what difference does it make if u burn it or if u copy it into ur ipod or if u store it in ur system..u still have it downloaded and it's with u.
Well mp3 which are sold thru itunes and such sites are legal.
All free mp3 that u download are illegal unless or otherwise specified that it's free
But let me tell u something...
who cares man..go ahead and download those song....he he!!

DOn't do it! It gave my computer so many viruses! UGH! its a bad thing to do plus you could up up behind bars for a very long time period!

I've never had a problem using limewire, it tells you what you can and can't do.
