I am a college student who wants to work overseas in a medical profession. I am junior studying political science and I have no idea what medical field I should go into. I don't want to be stuck in the US paying off debts for years. I appreciate your ideas!

If you're serious about working in 3rd world countries, study for being a general practioner. You'll run into everything imaginable and unimaginable in under developed countries and you'll need the widest possible medical background, as well as an open mind.

I come from a "third world" country and the first thing I can advice to you is to rid of that phrase. Yes, indeed, we are poor people, but that doesn't give you the right to see us differently or to scale us in such a degrading way. Ironically enough, there is marked poverty in the so-called "first world", else go ahead and look around you.

No one in our countries would like any arrogant gringo come into our territory with such a degree of arrogance and bigotry. You would surely get the kind of sugar Materazzi got from Zidane...or even more.

Pure sweetness!
