For some strange reason he thought Detroit would match any offer out there. He got a very good offer from Detroit so basically he lied his heart is obviously in his pocket book just like everybody else.

Cause he's trying to retain some of the support of the Detroit people who right now are generally very angry at him. Possibly he will have a sports broadcasting career in Detroit, and right now the consensus sounds like Ben will be booed when Mason yells his name when the Bulls enter the Palace.

No matter where his heart is its always gonna come down to one thing in the NBA. Thats obviously money. Chicago offered significantly more money and the opportunity to lead a young franchise back to the finals. He also didnt like Flip Saunders new offensive game plan which secluded him and his defensive prowess.

Because... his heart was in detroit... but when Chicago offered more money to him then Detroit could... his heart moved to Chicago

That was before the deal came up and it's like this:Would u take 30 million or 60 million? I KNOW u and I would take the 60 million!

you can't force someone to stay if they want more money. his value went up when he won the titles. without detroit he ain't nothing. money was his motivation. obviously he doesn't care what the detroit fans have to say about it. he will help the bulls.
