Based upon some of the titles included in your list above, I would recommend the following authors:

Patrick Carman: The Land of Elyon Book 1 (The Dark Hills Divide) and Book 2 (Beyond the Valley of Thorns). Laurie Faria Stolarz: Blue is for Nightmare Series (there are four books total). Garth Nix: Sabriel, Lirael, and Abhorsen, as well as The Keys to Kingdom Series.

If you enjoyed the Vampire Chronicles you might want to try the Lives of the Mayfair Witches by Anne Rice (The Witching Hour, Lasher, and Taltos).

If you are interested in realistic fiction you could try the following titles:
Go Ask Alice, Life in the Fat Lane, Fat Chance, Cut, Perfect, Holding onto Max, First Part the Last, and Lisa Bright and Dark (to name a few).

Some suggestions for Classics:
A Tree Grows in Brooklyn, Dracula, Frankenstein, The Wind in the Willows, Pride and Prejudice, Washington Square, Jane Eyre, Alice in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass, Gone with the Wind, Wuthering Heights, Romeo and Juliet, Hamlet, Macbeth, and the short stories of Nathaniel Hawthorne and Edgar Allan Poe (to name a few).

If I were in my classroom, I would be able to provide you with an extensive list of books. Good luck on your quest.

My favorites are The Lord of the Rings (J.R.R. Tolkien), The Sherlock Holmes mysteries by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, The works of Jean M. Auel, anything by Dean Koontz, the Star Trek novels of Peter David, the Shannarah series by Terry Brooks, L. Frank Baum's Oz series, and Gone with the Wind, by Margaret Mitchell.

Since you've already read Lord of the Rings, you might give the others a try, and also try Tolkien's Silmarillion.

Oh, and you did spell Geisha right ;-)

You should try A Walk To Remember by Nicholas Sparks, The Notebook by Nicholas Sparks, Where The Heart Is by Billie Letts, and The Outsiders by S.E. Hinton. When you're finished with the books be sure to watch the movies to see how different they are. You'd be suprised. I hope this helps.

This may not be your speed but Patrick O'Brian wrote a long series of stories about a few characters on the seas. They wen't pirates but it's the same era and had to deal with pirates. Maybe you saw "Master and commander".

wow, you have read a wide range of fiction. I think you might like the Boston Jane series and you might like the writer Margaret Haddox. have you read Vampire kisses? that one seems to be very popular among YA at the library where I work.
