sorry my typing turned out crap, i mean not like old books, like "to kill a mockingbird" and shakesphere. something easy to understand that has a clear plot and is a page turner.

try "the curious incident of the dog in the night-time" by mark haddon.
its a quick read, the narrator is an autistic boy who is trying to figure out who killed the nieghbor's dog, and it evoloves into a story about his own family and his relationship to him. Not a long story, i finished this in less than a day.

Try Rebecca. I don't remember the author, but it's about a woman who marries a widower, and he takes her back to his home called Manderley (something like that) and there's a mystery in it as to how his first wife (Rebecca) died. It's a great book, that they made into a black and white movie. I read this in high school as well as saw the movie, and now wish I could find my own copy of the book, I am sure amazon will have it though.

If you just want good, entertaining, mindless reading, I HIGHLY recommend the series by Janet Evanovich that starts with "One for the Money." It's got comedy, suspense, and romance. I've laughed my tail off in every one of the books!
