No i don't mean what the words are, i mean whenever i watch TV sometimes, and the show has a commercial all of a sudden the commercial would be cut, following "Alert.......with a buzzer, saying "this is a test" n i don't know what's the reasoning behind it??? can anyone tell me y this is coming up once in a while???

It is a civil service announcement just in case we were to get attack by enemy forces.

Test for earthquake alarm and stuff so that when disaster is about to strike they issue a warning on television. You should see the test at the beginning where they explain to you.

small inconvenience.....just bear with it....if you ever need it, you'll be glad they interrupted your TV time.
