Only in our "present" day society has there been any kind of monogomy, it was necessary in the past for evolution sake to propogate with many other people. A polyamorous relationship can be very enlightening and fulfilling to both parties involved, but there are a set of strick guidelines to go by and the couple must be truly in love with each other, devoting themselves first and foremost to that idea and all others are "pets" if you will. And pet has rules too.

1. Because we are humans and are supposedly smart enough to know that involving more than one woman and one man per relationship is a perversion and not a healthy environment for children to grow up in.
2.If God had intended us to go around mating like dogs we would be walking on all 4's and howling at the moon!
And the most important reason is: God created Adam then created Eve to be his companion.God did not create Adam,Eve and Steve!

how about no husbands and wives and just lovers??? can we be happy being one and "complete" without neediing another one???...if love is stronger on the first stages why do we have to stay with the same one till it gets boring???
why do we have to eat every day the same????
the best is having just lovers who afterwards become friends and who knows maybe lovers again some other summer night

Why would you get bored with the one you are in love with? Yes, true love is only between 2. If you only want to play, then many is what you'll choose, but many fall in love with one and are happy til one passes. This is the beauty of true love.

No, love comes from God and love is God. The basis to know whether it is love or not is if you can base it on the rightness of God`s love. Multiple wives and husbands is not one of what God wants for us.

Love is one on one.
Sex can be one on any number you choose.
And if your sex is boring try something different.
