My lady will be going through an abortion this week. She is in her second tri-mester. Is this to dangerous?

I had one done about 4 years ago with no complications, but there are always risks with any type of operation. She could bleed (more than what is normal), have cramping, it could also make her infertal if she ever wants to become a mother in the future. I also have a friend who got one done and she can no longer have children because of this.

All abortions should be done before 12 weeks "1st tri mester" to be the most safe for the mother. The child gets nerve endings after the 1st tri mester and can feel pain. I am pro choice but, also educated on fetal development. After 12 weeks the mother is at a high risk of something going wrong it WILL BE a lot more painful because the pregnancy is very devolped with arm legs heart head and he/she can ever HEAR in the womb at about 15 to 16 weeks!. A child has lived out of the mother as ealry as 24 weeks. A heart beats at 5 weeks but is not very devolped the pregnacy is very small during 12 weeks A LOT OF clinics WILL NOT do a abortion after 12 to 13 weeks. Good luck i wish if that was her choice she had not waited till the pregnancy was advanced and nearly viable on it's own. You should read fetal devlopment after 12 weeks no denying it's a child at that stage.

Any medical procedure can be dangerous, but I highly recommend that the two of you see this pregnancy through to the end and then decide on what to do whether it is to keep the child or give it up for adoption. I think you'll be able to live with yourself a lot better years down the road. But just my opinion. In fact, I'd even question whether or not they will abort beyond the 1st tri-mester.

I don't know that much on abortion & don't want to start a arguement on here it is only my opinon & the way I feel but I could not see how someone could have a abortion in the second trimester as it already has a heartbeat & make a fist--that's how big your baby is now. At week 14, he weighs close to an ounce and measures between three and four inches from top to bottom. Like you, he can make a fist, too.Go to parenting.com & you can see what the baby looks like at the second trimester.I am sorry but it is my opinon that peopple should not pregnant if they do not want a baby.I understand if someone has to get a abortion due to a medical reason but not just because they don't want a baby.I love my three girls even through hard times.I could & would NEVER have a abortion.This just makes me want to cry.When they remove the baby they rip it apart & as far as she is the baby will feel it.She should give it up for adoption if she does not want it.One of my guy friends girlfriend had one last year & regrets it.I am sorry but this subject makes me so mad & sad to think people can do this to a innocent baby that did not ask to be brought in this world.

Any more a baby has a 1 in 3 chance of surviving at the 28 week mark, which is the end of the second trimester. And she wants an abortion? She's already through the worst of it. I'd gather it's unsafe because of the babys size by now. Carry the baby to term and find a loving couple that desparately want their own baby.

Plus, just an FYI... I heard my baby's heart beating at only 10 weeks at the doctor's office. It's a life!

Are you kidding? What have you been doing for the last 5 or 6 months, letting that little baby grow, think, feel, dream, smile, look forward to seeing his mommy, fall in love with her voice, enjoy the warmth of her body and a thousand other things? Why have you waited this long? Can't you just let it grow for 2 or 3 more months and give it to a couple who would love and care for it? Are you so selfish that you'd rather kill it than let it live like your mothers did? Don't you realize at this stage the doctor will poke a spike into it's little brain to kill it and then suck it's body out in pieces? So yes, it is dangerous, in fact deadly, to your child. It's not this little boy or girl's fault that you screwed around without protection. And don't call this woman a lady. She's far from it. And you are no "concerned dad".

May I know why? Is having another baby is too much for you guys or is it for medical reason concerning your lady? If so, why at the first place you get into a situation where the possibility is getting pregnant?
Definitely, there is danger since you are killing your own flesh and blood! There is danger to your lady for she might suffer complications and plus the emotional or moral trauma she will encounter if she has the sense of guilt on terminating the life of your unborn baby. So sad that many people are for abortion and are afraid of the responsibilities it may entail.

Well, the innocent baby did nothing to deserve the death sentence it will receive...apparently someone else, like Mom, deemed the child's life inconvenient or not worthy to live. This is victim #1.

Second, Mom will have to live with what she has done the rest of her life...and time has a way of making most of us older and wiser. She may come to dearly regret what she is about to do. This is victim #2..

Yes, all parties will be irreparably hurt...that is dangerous in my book.

please reconsider, abortion is the most terrible thing that a women can do to herself. Not to mention the unborn baby. That is murder. She will regret it later. It will screw her up. If there is no way for you to keep this baby, give it up for adoption. Abortion should never be used selfishly for a means of birth control. Shame on you two.

Hopefully you are aware that your baby - really is a baby. Has a brain, eyes, lungs, heart, fingers, toes...everything a person has.
