Like in the book or movie, if we repay each kindness to us with kindness to three others, and pass it on, could we really change the world for the better?

There is a story about an old man walking on the beach after a huge storm. He turned the corner and found a little boy on the beach. The starfish had been washed up on the beach and the little boy would pick one up and toss it as hard as he could back into the sea. When the man walked up to him, he asked the child why he was doing it. He stated that there is no way he could make a difference in what would happen to the starfish.
The little boy just smiled and picked up another and tossed it back into the ocean. Then he turned to the old man nad smiled, saying, " See... I made a difference to that one."

This is a great idea but most people won't go for it. There are people out there that do this not expecting anything and there are people out there that just don't give a hoot. I truly wish that people would grasp this type of idea more seriously and stop being so self-centered but logically...this will never happen. There is way too muck self gratification out there to even apply such a concept. Unfortunately!!!!!!

Money cant buy everything, and neither can singing kumbaya. Your idea of a better world may differ from another persons. So, probably not. I think we can all do our part and hope for the best, but there are no promises.

I love this idea. I really think that it would work. All that kindness circulating. I think that it would end up going big time. If every person was always thinking about what kind things they could do then so much would get done.

I'm always nice to everyone, guess what it gets me. Nothing. Because the vast majority are exceptionally cruel.
