It's true that Calderon was announced the winner but the election is still being disputed by his main opponent Obrador. There were many irregularities which, last I knew, had to be scrutinized by the courts. Obrador was/is the leftist candidate and so of course the powerful business class much preferred the PAN. I know Obrador's supporters are protesting.

The corrupt network of cronies that Herr Maximilian Zorro put in power. Expect the coyotes, drug dealers, and Mexican military incursions to continue uninterrupted. Say what you like about Obrador, at least he planned to bring some of his people home to make their own country a better place.
Oh, and Bush-haters who got to use it as an excuse to dredge up 2000 just one more time...

the polling people say that someone won, but hey; after the election, both canidates declared victory
