I love this movie! I never wanted to see it when it was in theaters, but I caught it on cable and LOVED it. It was so funny, and Jennifer Garner did such a funny job acting thirteen. Me and my friends act thirteen ourselves sometimes so maybe that's why I enjoyed it. I loved the scene when Jennifer Garner was talking about her kiss with Mark Ruffalo and when the camera shoots to who she's talking to, it's a bunch of thirteen year old girls in pajamas...that was pretty funny.

In "13 Going On 30" Garner is a 13 year old with a guy best friend and an impossible dream of becoming one of her school's "in" crowd. She pulls a "Rip Van Winkle" and suddenly finds herself 15 years older, with boobs, and the editor of a glitz and glam NYC femme fashion magazine. The rest is a fun frolic about coming to grips with what is important in life...what's steak and what's just so much sizzle. Garner and Ruffalo work well as the leads in this good old family values bop flick which keeps the momentum up 'til the very warm and fuzzy end. An unabashed chick flick, "13 Going On 30" should be an enjoyable watch for teen females and anyone in the mood for a romcom who can still remember what it's like to be 13 going on 30. (B-)

Out of 5 stars, I give it a 3.5. It was cute, but not that good. Personally, I think the movie "Big" starring Tom Hanks is a thousand times better than this one. They have similar story lines.

truly get 13 happening 30. There are parts that are somewhat unhappy, yet i did not shed any tears in it. the sorrowful parts are concerning disappointments with friendships and relationships, no longer heavy content like demise. it truly is often humorous, romantic, and eccentric. i quite love this action picture, and that i imagine you'll, too.

that movie's cool. if you want a really good movie, rent little manhattan. that movie is so adorable and funny.
