I hate it--cuss all the time I am there and go right back the next week--have you ever had a list to go shopping and they have everything on your list???Not me but I have a cart full anyway. They sell you what they want you to buy not what you come to buy.

The myth about Wal-Mart is that they have the lowest prices in town for low-income families. Actually, it has been shown by many reports that this is untrue. The end items (stuff at the end of the aisle) are very cheap and are good deals, hooking you into thinking that everything is cheap. However, the majority of stuf in the aisles is priced higher than at other stores. So, the prices are actually HIGHER!
Also, low-income American families suffer. Some argue that it provides jobs for communities. However, Wal-Mart controls manufacturers, forcing them to lower prices, which makes more and more manufacturers move overseas, to employ 8 year olds for a pennies for 100 hour work weeks. So, two factories will move out of a town, and a Wal-Mart will move in. This is horrible for America, and the world. Watch the Frontline special on Wal-Mart, and do some more independent resarch. Don't just take it from me, look into it for yourself.

OMFG, walmart is what is KILLING this country!! they are putting out all the mom and pop stores who run this country. this country is run on, was run on like 85% of small business. we're headed for a monopoly b/c people like you who want it cheaper don't realize the power and control you'll be givign them in a few years where there is no competition. they are the worst thing!! i boycott them and you should too. i know its hard to pay a little more for something b/c if you keep giving your money to the big guys, ie walmark, bank of america, chase, olive garden, etc, etc then all the small shops will be eliminated permanently, which is the SOLE foundation of this country's business economy!
once there are no more small businesses left, do you think WALMART WON'T RAISE THEIR PRICES (their suppliers will have to as well). do you like what the ecomony looks like right NOW?! right now!?!? NOOOOOOOOOO! that should tell you something about those big stores. look it up!!
you say they give lots of jobs, but they are costing EACH STATE (i only know Connecticuts figures cuz i live here) an avg of $2.5 BILLION (yes BILLION) in the state medical budget b/c they won't pay their employees MEDICAL INSURANCE!!!
i support the small stores that make this country GREAT, not walmart that is destroying this country!

The only reason I shop at wal-mart is because I have to, not because I want to. They have run just about every store in my area out of business or caused them to move out of the area. They have blocked other stores from moving into the area. They move into a low income area and build their stores then hire people to work for barely above minimum wage. They tell you that they don't need your business, you need them. Their prices are not all that low. No two wal-mart stores charge you the same price for the same thing. Too bad the company doesn't go belly up and go bankrupt.

don't like walmart they treat their employees awful and don't let anyone tell you thet don't discriminate because they do big time. They harass their employee bully and intimidate. They make employees at age in the 60's lift heavy boxes in the grocery department. I think walmert as a whole is mean and I feel sorry for people who end up having to work there.

evil evil evil.
They can sell cheap because they buy in bulk, so they undercut smaller businesses eventually putting them out of business.
They also don't take on many full-time employees so they don't have to pay out benefits, which lower-income families sorely need.
People then expect other shops to be able to sell at the same low prices, but they can't, so people keep going to wal-mart, wal-mart opens more stores, puts more small businesses out of business, etc.

O.K. What do I think about Wal-Mart....
Well, Wal-Mart is the store that I try not to step foot in. Every time I've been to the one in Houston , on 290, it is packed with dirty people. The lines are outrageously long, and I hate waiting. Yes, there products are cheap , but I don't like buying them because they don't last. Wal-Mart reminds me of a dollar store. I don't go in those either.
