Lip peircing,is it bad for you? does it hurt WAY TOO much?

I've always wanted my lip periced, but im pariniod of too much pain, too much blood loss, infection, all that nonsense. Does anyone have any experience of knowledge of lip peiricing??

As long as you take care of your piercings like you should, they won't cause you any trouble. I have had 9 piercings b4 and that includes my tongue, belly, ears, and umm...other places. In all honesty, I don't think any of them hurt one bit. I wouldn't recommend the belly button one though, that is very easy to get infected. Your tongue, lip, or private areas are actually the best to get because they heal so well, not really sure why, but they do. Good luck and have fun...it only hurts for a sec!!!

Actually to refer to the comment before me....you will not have a hole in your lip...lol. The piercing will heal over and you may have a slight little raised area. You will not even be able to tell though if you aren't looking right up close to you. When you stretch the piercing like some ppl do with there ears is when you get holes. All of my piercings except for my ears are grown over and I am hole less...lol. Don't worry about it...piercings can always come out!

I have my lip pierced. For me it wasn't that painful but it could be for you. (Everyone's different) For 2-3 months, I had to wash it out after I ate, brush my teeth (which was super hard because it was a little sore and I wasn't used to it), wash my hands before touching it, disinfect the piercing, remove the scabbing and cut back on smoking.

There is not a lot of blood loss, only scabbing and if you have a boyfriend, you can't french kiss him for 2-3 months. It will only get infected if you don't care for it properly. And when they say to change the jewelry, do it because the piercers always give you a huge ring for it to account for swelling and if you leave the big jewelry in, it could mess up your teeth alignment.

peircing itself is a pretty safe procedure as long as a new needli is used and everything is disinfected. and just like an ear peircing you have to spin the ear ring and clean the hole during the first 4 weeks. at the beginnig that's gonna hurt A LOT. the peircing itself hurts A LOT! but maybe that's just me.

So many of my friends have them...they said it doesnt hurt anymore than an eyering its just a pinch...and they said how it looks after it totally worth the little pinch...and if u clean it with the stuff they give u it will not get infected....

Dont let the fear of pain stop u from getting something that u want....u can do it!

lip piercing is out of style and it HURTS LIKE A MO FO!!!!!! i took mine out and it closed up!!!!! i am glad!!!!!
