my friend is pregnant, she was told that she conceived on the 27 of April but the doctors tell her that she is 13 weeks on this saturday, but 13 weeks take her back to April 15, how could this be, does this make any sense to anyone????

oh, she also had a miscarrage on the 5th of April.

i concived April 9th i'm 15 weeks 5 days. My last period March 24th The date is counted FROM YOUR PERIOD as being day 1 pregnant. However you are not pregnant for about 2 weeks after A PERIOD. all DOCTORS count pregnancy as day 1 the 1st day of your period so you are 2 weeks ahead the whole pregnancy. I've acually only been pregnant 13 weeks 5 day but the pregnancy is dated 15weeks 5 day from last period. SO she did concive about 2 weeks after her cycle her CONCEPTION date is correct! The day of a missed period you are only 2 weeks pregnant BUT it's counted by the doctor as 4 weeks.

They 'date' conception based on when your first missed period was, but they also look at the development of the foetus, hence the different dates.

She needs to have an ultrasound, that will tell her more acurately how far along she is.
