Red Sox over the Cards. Clutch hitting, great defense and enough starters with a great closer

AL: Detroit over Oakland, Sox (wild card) over Boston, then Detroit over Chicago.

NL: Mets over Brewers (wild card), Cardinals over Padres, then Mets over Cardinals.

World Series= Mets over Tigers

Why? National League has more to prove, and Ordonez has been iffy. Also, David Wright keeps stepping up, and Beltran is very good in the post-season.

I think the Sox just aren't as good this year, and they've ventured away from smallball last year. I'm from Chicago, and I can tell you that they just don't play as well anymore. They can be very inconsistent, and 1 run wins are flukes. Those don't prove anything. Also, the Sox almost blew it at the end last year in the season. And face it- they got umpiring help vs. the Angels.

The Chicago White Sox over the New York Mets in 6 games - the WORLD CHAMPION White Sox have experience on their side now, and have a pretty potent offense. The only thing that can (and might) stop them is if they don't get their pitching back to what it was last season. I don't think being middle of the pack in pitching is going to lead to the repeat that I and other White Sox fans so desire.

My bet right now Tigers without a doubt. World Series teams Tigers and the Mets. Why because both teams if they stay healthy have two of the best Pens in the league, Two formidable Rotations and a hell of a lineup. O, and they both have the best records in there respective leagues.

Phillies Vs. Yankees/Indians Phils win b/c i do not care what you're saying, they have the most heart.......and they have worked the toughest with forty seven comeback victories (Rockies worked their butts off too, that is why i'm quite looking ahead to that sequence).......ending a 14 12 months drought and having momentum from that permits too. they'll actually win if our pitching crew can carry their very own hostile to the great names in MLB. ~Phillies Phan~ NL East Champs

oakland A's!!!! they are in 1st place right now and they always do better after the all-star break, they probably end up with ~95 wins especially when they get rich harden back and then with great pitching they'll make and win the world series
