While it's tempting to say Harry is a Mud-Blood because he grew up under non-magical guardians, or because his mother was Muggle-born, he isn't.

Harry Potter is a Pure-Blood because both of his parents were magical. Lily Potter, although herself a Mud-Blood, was magical. James Potter, was also magical, thus giving Harry two magical parents.

(This is why Draco Malfoy could never use the term on Harry because it simply wasn't true!)

Hermione Grainger, on the other hand, is a Mud-Blood because she is a magical child that grew up in a non-magical household with non-magical parents.

Harry Potter is a little better than a half -blood and not nearly good enough to come close to a pure blood as far as the deatheaters are concerned, because his mother was muggle born (mud blood)

I think he's more a combination of the two. The term 'Mudblood' means a muggle-born wizard, or a Muggle born with the ability to do magic, while the term 'pureblood' means a someone born to a wizarding family directly descended from one of the first wizards. James Potter was a pureblood, but Lily Potter was a Mudblood, so Harry is somewhere in between.

He's a mud-blood because his mom was a muggle but still attended hogwarts, however his dad was a pure-blood.Harry was also raised by muggles(Aunt Petunia and Uncle Dursely) so obviously he's not a pure-blood.

He is not pure blood because his mother was muggle born. I don't think he is considered mud-blood because both of his parents were magical.

depends on your point of view. some people would say pure blood cause both of his parents were magical. some people would say mud blood since his mother was muggle born. personally i plead the 5th!

He's a Pure-Blood. Doesn't every Slytherin hate him because he is a pure-blood and likes mud-bloods???? And don't they call him a traitor?? I'm not sure if they do, but I think they should! Whoo hoo!
