Chickens already ARE intelligent -- according to current research, they are as intelligent as dogs and cats, and actually have the cognitive abilities as a 3-year-old child. And they do have a language -- with as many as 40 different distinct calls. Anyone who is around free-run chickens can observe this behavior and know if a chicken is content, hungry, alarmed, ill, or whatever -- from the sounds it makes. So --would you confine a 3-year-old child in a tiny cage all its life? No? Then why do it to chickens who have the same level of intelligence as your toddler?

I think a lot of people would get a bit nauseous at the thought they had been eating them, most people would bury their heads in the sand and be in denial for awhile, evolutionists would go freaky -some potentially hurting themselves, many religious people would find passages in their guide books and say "see it says it right here, we told you all along", Colonel Sanders would be unavailable for comment, PETA would be ecstatically spazzing, and GW would call for registration and have the NSA assess their potential for terrorism

I believe chickens would become beef advocates.
They would then take over the south and dominate the
Republican Party.

We'd kill them even faster. Think about it... Intelligent chickens with bird flu. Wow they could start an epidemic real fast.
