I know he can, but most likely he won't. Wilt was a 7' center playing against 6'6" centers back in the day. Kobe is considered to be selfish even though he shoots about the same amount of shots with every other star. He passes like a point guard and rebounds like a forward. I think his 81 points was more impressive than Wilt's 100, because Wilt was probably bigger than every guy on the court by 7 inches or more. It would be like Shaq being guarded by Adam Morrison. Throw it in and let him dunk 50 times. Kobe did have 55 in the second half of that game when he scored 81. He also had 62 against Dallas and only played 30 minutes in that game. He had 34 points in 6 minutes in the second half.

I really don't think so. First, you have to consider that when Wilt played, he was a 7-2 guy going up against guys who were 6-6. Plus, the game wasn't as physical and tough as it is now. Second, it would take the perfect circumstance. When Kobe scored 81 they were playing a crappy Toronto Raptor team and they were in a situation where they needed him to score because they were losing and no one else make anything. If they jump out too early or someone else is scoring consistently, he won't get the shots to do it. Third, as much as 81 points in a game is, he was still 20 points away from breaking that record. That's a lot.

Jonah is that guy if you don't listen to me listen to him. Kobe could do it no doubt about it in any real fans mind, but good coaching would be to take him out when the team is up by alot. And now a days 100 is near impossible with better players then back when Wilt played. Wilt to strong for player who were not use to a big man like Wilt. (kinda like Shaq now a days but fiercer) But I'd say Kobe's 81 is more speculator than Wilt's 100 because the League now is a lot tougher and most teams would triple a player that hot.

I don't think Wilt Chamberlain's record will ever be broken. He was a player who was way ahead of his time. Kobe is an incredible athlete, but I don't think anyone can put up over 100 points in today's game.

i understand he can, yet likely he received't. Wilt became a 7' middle playing antagonistic to 6'6" centers decrease back contained in the day. Kobe is seen to be egocentric even although he shoots about the same quantity of photos with another superstar. He passes like a level look after and rebounds like a ahead. i imagine his 80 one factors became extra astonishing than Wilt's one hundred, because Wilt became likely more suitable than each and every guy on the court docket by employing 7 inches or extra. it must be like Shaq being guarded by employing Adam Morrison. Throw it in and allow him dunk 50 circumstances. Kobe did have 55 contained in the second one 1/2 of that recreation even as he scored 80 one. He also had sixty 2 antagonistic to Dallas and in ordinary words performed 1/2-hour in that recreation. He had 34 factors in 6 minutes contained in the second one 1/2.

I don't think he can because the game had change a lot and even if he can score 100 points it will never be the same. Chamberlains can't shoot 3s and the team didn't even go to OT so it's a lot harder for him than to bryant.

Probably not. Even if he did, it wouldn't have the same impact: Chamberlain didn't have the advantage of the three point shot. On the other hand, referees haven't been instructed that Bryant is never to foul out.

Wow that would be pathetic. When Wilt did it his whole team encouraged him to do so and went out of their way to give Wilt the ball... If Kobe does it, it would be just pathetic...

no. wilt's 100 was sick. think of how many points he woulda scored if there was a three point arch. 81 is impressive but 100 is the number.
