I do not know how it has affected business. I am not a smoker but I am adamantly against the Government dictating that smoking is banned here.. and then there.. The Americans are letting it happen and it will (the laws) increase more rapidly as time goes on...

In California, we've had this in effect for years and it is awesome! Of course, I'm a non-smoker, so I love it for that reason. However, from a business stand-point, I can only see it causing effects if the employeess were allowed to smoke while they worked. Now they'll have to take breaks to smoke. If they already did then there there's no change. As for the consumer, they'll still frequent these public places and restaurants. They definitely aren't just going to stay home! I don't think you'll see much effect at all.

Personally I don't care how it effects business. People do not have the right to smoke wherever they please.
