I know I asked this question earlier, but I guess I wasn't specific enough. After replacing the head gasket, the intake and exhaust gaskets, it won't start and we thought we had the timing and everything set right. (I have a book & it's not much help.) there are several marks on the cam & I don't know which one to line up. there's a diamond, a triangle, and an indentation. any advice?

i put on a timing belt on a ford ranger a while back and you got a guage hole on the cam, just put the crank on top dead center and turn the cam till you see the guage hole and put a drill bit in it so it wont turn and put on your belt, but you were asking about the timing marks ,they are on the crank.the one i worked on had a circle, look and see if the indentation is through all the way if so then use that 1.

theres one on the crank pully witch you line up with a pointer on the block and one on the cam pully witchyou line up with a notch on the top of the front plate . Failling that mark the pullies with paint or chalk befor you take the belt off
