I just got the job I wanted, with great pay, I have a new home to view tomorrow, and my family and friends, although most are not around me physically, are all in semi-constant contact... Yet I feel crap... WTH?!? I should be on top of the world!!

First of all, congratulations! It sounds like you're in a wonderful position.

However, it seems to me that you are slightly scared, new and prosperous things are something we dream of and when it actually happens it's a reality check that this is for real and not the dream that was occupying your thoughts before.

You have to deal with two life changing events, a new job and a new home so of course this is going to throw you back a bit.

But once you settle in you will thrive so don't worry about the panic, it's natural.

you are depressed or exhausted or both! this happens to most folk due to many different things mostly stress you are undergoing a transitional period by the sound of things moving home is a difficult period for anyone as is a new job you mention that your friends are in semi-constant contact. this suggests to me that at one point they were in constant contact so obviously you don't see them as much as you used to so have less chances to blow off steam with them. I say go for a long bath, then arrange for you and your friends to go shopping, have a meal/drink, or just a chat and remind yourself that things only change because we let them. If you drive then no matter where you live within reason you could drive over to them.
The depression will lift as soon as it arrived when you get through the settling in period of both job and home once it does you will definitely feel better about yourself for coming through it a better person.

Psychologically, all changes, regardless if they are bad or, in your case, good, are hard to accept and can make us feel anxious. It sounds like you are right on the brink of a new and exciting life. But, as happy as it is, this brings new challenges and many unknowns into your days to come. Give it a few weeks and if you still feel the way you do, schedule an appointment with a doctor to see if you might be depressed.

Money is not the base for happiness. Happiness comes from within one self. Life is too short to be unhappy all the time if you have your dream job and it is not making you happy then you might need to look for something else. This you need to look at close also it could be a new job, new house, new location and everthing is just overwhelming and you need to slow down just a bit.

Something in your life is not complete and you aren't happy. What do you want that you don't have? I told my children that when they are in doubt, make a list of the of the things that they "think" would make them happy and strive to make them come true. Sorry to say that there isn't anyone on this Earth that can make happiness for you...you have to make your own. You have to look up and say that I have all that I want in life 9or most of it) and I choose to be happy...then be happy.

Sounds like you're still missing something essential in your life.

What that might be only you can figure it out. If you feel you can't maybe you should consider talking to a professional!

You just need a good cuddle and a decent nights sleep. You'll feel better in the morning.
Promise.

Maybe you would like to be in physical contact with your family.... they are not besides you to celebrate your success with you.

Is there any particular song that always cheers you up? If so play it loud over and over until you feel better. It works for me.
