seems like your question should be "why does society allow violent criminals to exist after they've committed a crime?"
how do you propose to "weed out" the potential criminals who have yet to commit a crime, that is, the people on the edge of moving from normalcy to deviant behavior, the ones who are housewives or husbands today and murderers tomorrow. we're only set up to identify people AFTER they've committed the crime, and that's too late. can you think of a way we could remove violent crime BEFORE it occurred? then we would truly have not allowed it to exist.

I enjoy your use of the word "sissified," in your question. An invented word. How mature of you.
Well, why do we allow violent criminals to exist in our "sissified," society? Our "sissified" society is arguably one of the least humane in the Western World. The US's policies regarding women (especially mothers), minorities and non-heterosexuals are among the least liberal in the civilized world.
Sissified indeed.
I think what you meant to ask is "Why isn't capital punishment used more often on violent criminals such as murderers and (hopefully you also include) rapists?"
And you do realize that you just suggested the mass murder of thousands of people all across the country? Isn't this a little contradictory? The cold-blooded murder of a cold-blooded murderer?
As for "never a useful element to the rest of us," think of the little girl whose daddy was wrongfully accused of assault. The son of a man framed for murder, or the family of a date-rapist. Yes, in fact, criminals are people too! They are people who have made serious mistakes, some of which are unforgivable, but they are still human beings.
True, some of these people can never be rehabilitated, but to give up on them is absolutely inhumane.
Should we also "weed out" these "sissies," who are apparently messing up your perfect world? Your suggestion is Hitler-esque. Have fun trying to begin the next holocaust.

Because we have a bunch of sissys who are crying that the death penalty is wrong and they don't even care how many people the murderer killed. The whole world practically got sissified.

Because there are pantie waist people out there that want them to have rights which is why they want to get rid of the death penalty..Personally if someone killed a friend or family member of mine. I would volunteer to throw the switch.

Just like - there would be no people in the church without letting in sinners, Who is to decide who's sin is the biggest? Or who should stay and who should go. As Jesus said "He who is without sin Cast the first stone."

It's not for us to decide who dies...it's up to God. Personally, I think they should re-open Alcatraz.
