First of all, I have to say, you lucky dog you! Kauai is the most beautiful place I have ever seen. Go see the Napali coast if you can. It's unbelievable. So you wanna know if you should bring a jacket to Hawaii? Let me tell you, the easiest job in Hawaii is being a weatherman. "Today, Sunny and 80 with a slight chance of showers in the evening. Tomorrow, Sunny and 80 with a slight chance of showers in the evening. Saturday, Sunny and 80 blah blah blah." It's always beautiful in Hawaii. Never hurts to bring a jacket, but odds are, you won't need it. Enjoy your trip!

Definately, if you happen to go to a higher altitude it can get quite cold so is better to be prepared than not.
