[UPDATE: Here's what I don't get. They have ALL these different types of acts...it's like comparing apples and oranges. Why, with 60 acts in total, would they not have the semis grouped by similar talents? All the singers in one night, all the jugglers and balance artists, all the dance troupes....though I'm not sure which category Leonid the Magnificent would fit into.
Tonight's show was ho-hum. Did they really need to have 10 commercials in between each act? They could have fit 15 acts into 1 hour if they'd have just whittled the ads. Having said all that, I think the judges actually got it right; the Miller brothers were the best of the night. That 12 year old harmonica player is out of this world insanely good!! And I don't even like harmonica!
My 2nd choice is the cloggers. They were very good. : ) Who was your favorite?

Captain's Log: Wed. July 19, 2006, 6:55 p.m. PST -
Awaiting the airing of tonight's show, hoping desperately for that IT person to make an appearance. So far, judges have proved themselves inept. Piers seems to care only about scantily clad girls, Brandy thinks everyone is hot, and David is just hoping to get enough on-camera time to prove to America why he was the #1 choice for a show about people who do nothing but run on the beach.
Will more yodelers come out of the woodwork? Will STOMP be in danger of losing its monopoly on the body-rhythm-percussion market? Will Piers and David get their wish of more strip-tease acts to boost the limp ratings of this American Idol knock-off?
Sadly, I'm a victim of summer ennui and will be tuning in tonight.

Yes, and I think it is so funny! The artists are so bad that they are good! I can't believe what people do in order to have their 15 minutes of fame. I especially enjoyed the guy who proclaimed he was the Worlds Oldest Stripper. My children were embarrassed: "Ewww, gross, aren't they ashamed of what they are doing? If he/she/ were my father/mother/ uncle/aunt/grandmother/etc I would leave the country and go to live at the North Pole !"
This program is so Fellinesque, so farcical that it is like a weird dream caused by general anesthesia, but without the side effects.

i'd were satisfied to work out both NBS or Eli win it. Neil is nice yet not that good. i ought to pay interest to a music or 2 not an finished live performance. so a procedures as NBS... I beloved even as they delivered in the different part educate performers to characteristic to their educate. That further extra to the educate and certain i'd opt to work out extra as to what they could do with that. Now Eli, i presumed he must have gained it. His voice is clearly the extra valuable all round type. He took numerous songs and sung them his way not purely tried to dup somebody else's track. Which many different acts did and did poorly. some did good, purely not many. Thats my 2 cents....

2) Brandy = Nice and Sweet Paula
3) David = Less Hip Hop Randy Type
