Fill the carafe halfway with vinegar then add water until it is full. Pour solution into coffeemaker and turn the appliance to brew. Halfway through the brewing, turn the coffeemaker off and let it sit for 20 minutes. Turn back on to finish brewing. Discard solution. Fill carafe with water and pour into coffeemaker, turn to brew. When it finishes, repeat this step. Lastly, wash the carafe and the filter basket with soap and water, and rinse with water. That's it. This method removes buildup in your coffeemaker and should be done every other month or so, depending on how often you use the appliance.

Well some models are different but there are two ways....one way is to go to the store and get a cleaner specifically made for coffee makers. The other is to use a solution of white vinegar and cold water (about 1 T per 2 cups on the machine). Let the machine go through a cycle except witout cofee but the filter basket. Let it rest a few minutes, then use that same solution again through a cycle (without coffee as before). Let the machine rest then run a couple of cyles of plain water through (no coffee) using fresh water each time. Make for sure you wash the pot at the end of cleaning.

According to Linda Cobb, the Queen of Clean, for the glass pot, use lemon and salt and rub with a sponge, or use baking soda and lemon juice or water and rub with a sponge.
For the white plastic grounds basket, soak the removable parts in hot water, dishwashing soap and about 1/4 cup of chlorine bleach. Soak about half an hour then rinse. For dark plastic, use vinegar instead of bleach.
For the reservoir, fill it with undiluted white vinegar, use a filter and run about half the vinegar through the coffee pot. Turn it off and let it sit for about half an hour, then turn it back on and let the rest of the vinegar go through. Clean out the pot really well as described above, then run two cycles of fresh cold water through the machine.

I usually use CLR mixed with water for one run-through. We have hard water at home. I then pour a round of clear water through it. Then I get a heavy concentration of bleach. This kills any bacterial build-up inside it and gets rid of stains very nicely. After I run this through for a cycle I then run clear water until I get all the hard water scale and any residue out of the coffee maker. I have had this coffee maker for three yeaars with no major problems.

Pour vinegar in it and let it run through its cycle, followed by water. To Clean the coffee pot, but ice in the pot only to cover the bottom, add salt and shake until the burned coffee is removed.

you need "specifically" cold water and white vinegar. Fill up the pot with 1/4 cup vinegar and the rest cold water. Put it in the well. Let it sit for 30 minutes and then turn the pot on and let it drip. Then toss out the old water.
Otherwise just wipe the outside down with dishsoap and water, as well as the pot.
Easy! I just did it mysself and read the directions that came with the pot.
Good luck.

Just run a vinegar and water mixture through it as though you were making coffee. About once a week ought to do it.
