Pull the hood release on the driver side under the steering wheel area then on the front of the car under the hood there is going to be a lever. Push straight down or pull straight up releasing the safety lever, obtaining access to the engine compartment.

you probably got a hood release on the drivers side under the dash or under the hood a latch.
