Books first, always read the books first, for example read the harry potter books before you see the movies. NEVER SEE A MOVIE UNLESS YOU HAVE READ THE BOOK, BECAUSE YOU NEED TO KNOW THE DETAILS. IN A REVEIW OF HARRY POTTER AND THE GOBLET OF FIRE WHICH I WILL NOT NAME THE PAPER, *cough* *f5* *cough*, IT SAID THAT IT DID NOT PROVIDE INFORMATION TO SOMEONE WHO NEVER SAW THAT MOVIE BEFORE, WELL IF YOUR GONNA SEE A MOVIE THATS IN A SERIES WATCH THE OTHERS FIRST, IT ISNT HOLLYWOOD'S FAULT YOUR TOO CHEAP TO SEE THE OTHERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I used to envision the books formerly I observed the movie, yet after being upset in one of those number of flicks produced from books I loved, I surely have replaced up. Now, even as i flow decrease back and skim the e book, I nevertheless like it, yet am no longer as upset in the movie. in basic terms the films that stay authentic to the e book are those that are magnificent. some examples are the golf eco-friendly Mile and Shawshank Redemption. The Godfather is between the few the position I examine the e book first, notwithstanding the movie became nevertheless magnificent. Dune became a disaster to me because one did not get each and every of the idea nuances in the movie, yet individuals that hadn't examine the e book first loved the movie.

It depends. If it's something that's been around for a while and is really famous and all, I'll read the book then immediately watch the movie to see how much they screwed it up. If it's something that's brand new and I'm just looking at it, I'll see the movie first to see if it's worth reading the book to find what they left out.

Generally I read the book first. Standard rule is that most adaptations aren't that great, but occasionally they can take a mediocre book that has no real framework and make a better version of it as a movie.

If it's a good book the movie is usually bad. Some exceptions occur though - the Godfather 1 & 2 for example.

THE BOOK IS ALWAYS BETTER! I always read the book before I see the movie. Just to take in every word is so much more enchanting then just watching. The book lets you imagine. Movies can be great, but behind every great movie is a spectacular book.

The book is usually more detailed. If there's a movie coming out that has a book out already you may want to read the book then see the flick. but that depends on the storyline. didn't see it or read it, but heard the davinci code book was very good and the movie was disappointing.

I perfer books to movies. Movies usually take out parts and makes it difficult to understand> But I do enjoy reading the books then going to see the movie. A good example is Eragon. I love the books how discriptive they are and the imagery is amazing. I'm still going to see it in theaters on dec. 15th. Just because its fun to see how the screen writers thought things happened

Depends.

With 'Good Expectation' I read the book first and I have to say I was deeply disappointed by the movie which I think was very superficial.

So were Fight Club, IT, SImon Says/Mercury Rising. The book was much better.

So generally I prefer books to movies.

I like reading the book first...

That way I can picture the story in my head and I don't have any 'famous' people blocking my imagination....

Most movies have captured books very well lately... Harry Potter for example was a great book and the movie was just like I pictured it to be!
