Your symptoms could have variety of meanings, and without a more comprehensive physical it is impossible to tell.

Either way, a missed period can be the sign of pregnancy, or worse a serious health risk, especially considering the pain in your side. This could be anything from an ectopic pregnancy, to ovarian cysts, to a uterine or urinary infection... all of which are serious conditions.

The missed period and pain may be related, or they may not be. But I recommend STRONGLY that you see your physician AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. Especially if the pain in your side gets worse.

You can repeat the pregnancy test, but I'd say it's unlikely that you are pregnant.

With the pain in your side, I suspect you have an ovarian cyst, which can cause a delay in your period. These usually resolve on their own, but if the pain is really bad or gets suddenly worse, or if you start feeling nauseus, you definitely want to get to your doctor.

Since this is not the only possibility, it might be a good idea to go to the doctor anyway. If your pregnancy test was positive, I'd be worried about an ectopic (tubal) pregnancy, but this doesn't seem as likely.

See the link for info on ovarian cysts.

don't listen to anyone.
go to the ER, or planned parenthood. it is completely confidential and they will give you a real answer.
Your initial pregnancy test may have been too early, depending on the last time you had sex, and the time you were ovulating.
My advice, see a doctor and get another test done, in another 2 weeks from today. If this is an unwanted pregnancy, which is what it sounds like, they doctor can direct you on how to go about getting an abortion.

A woman's menstrual cycle changes every year. Depending on your age, you may have had 2 periods in one month and none in the next or vice versa. Check again in 1 week on the pregnancy. It could be that your cycle is changing or you are pregnant.

Cramping pain can be a bad thing. Time to head to the ER or closest clinic to make sure you don't have an etopic pregnancy or a infection.

Take care of youself!

ok, calm down. Have another test. If it's still negative, & you don't get your period within another week, then go to your gynecologist & get checked out.
