OK... I have to answer this question because I have this feeling mine's going to be a better answer no matter what... Unless someone else can actually cite a Nightwish song that samples "O Fortuna."

That is a good question and being that Iced Earth, Therion, and Apocalyptica (amongst others) all drew inspiration from "Carmina Burana," it would not surprise me if Nightwish had sampled Carl Orff's composition in one of their songs. However, I am going to have to answer "I don't know..." but I am very curious to find out as well.

To the defiant first answer-er... Deriving influence from a classical piece is not at all unusual in the metal music genre, nor does it make a band unoriginal.

*Added later: I'll tell you what... I just listened to a handful of songs from my Nightwish albums, and I have to say that one song comes close to "O Fortuna," although I've never really thought about it before, but listening to "Ghost Love Score" from "Once" actually makes me forget (temporarily) how to hum "O Fortuna." But I wouldn't call it a "sample..." Maybe inspiration, though...

I am curious, do you know the answer to this question??

Wow, have no idea who Nightwish is, but your "O Fortuna" reference just made me REALLY want to rent "Excalibur" again.

I used to have that on vinyl (I think). I used to totally crank that. Maybe I should buy it again...

Totally not. Nightwish has a sound all their own and actually seems to strive to create their own style.
