No....he will be dead by the time you turn 30. Break up with him and try building up your self esteem because its obviously very low.

My best friend was 17 when she began dating and got pregnant by a 40-something year old man. They had a lot in common and still do. They have been together now for at least 5 years (or pretty close), they have 2 kids and are very happy. In a way, I think he was one of the best things that ever happened to her.
I think you should give it time before jumping into marriage or anything, but other than that, especially since your family and friends are cool with it, don't worry about it. Have fun. Just remember to enjoy your youth, and remember, he may not be around (if you do stick with him) for the rest of your life, or if you have kids, etc because he is more than 30 years your senior.

Hmmmm... Wow! I just don't know what you two would have in common. He is moving into retirement and you are moving into "life". Will you be happy with him when he is 75 and you're 43? And you mentioned you have been together for two years but doesn't that mean you was 16 at the time? Think about this. Do you want kids? Do you understand you could possible raise them alone?
Hate to pass judgment but the age gap is very crucial, I don't see it lasting forever! But I wish you the best! After all Love Conquers!!

Well, I am married to a man who is 15 years older than I am. So far it has lasted 6 years. However, I am well aware of the fact that he will most likely die before I am, and have accepted this fact.
Consider this: When you are 38, your boyfriend will be 70. If he is still living, he will most likely have various health problems associated with that age group. Arthritis, heart problems, Alzheimer's disease or other dementias, stroke, diabetes, COPD . . . the list goes on.
If true love is there on both sides, then wonderful. But remember that one day you may change from being his wife to being his caretaker. You may be ready to have wild and crazy sex with him, but are you ready to feed him his dinner or change his diaper?
And how about children? My husband and I have agreed not to have children, partly because by the time a child of ours would be in high school, he would most likely be dead or seriously debilitated.
Just something to consider.

If you are lucky he's a rich 50 year old and he'll kick off and leave you lotsa money for plastic surgery when you are 30 so you can get a new man after he croaks.
He's a friggen PEDOPHILE. If you were to have any children with him he would be dead before they graduated from highschool.
Get real!

no it wont because he might die before you so dont do anything that may give him a heart attack like sex. How does it feel to be sleeping with a man that is old enough to be your dad or possibly your grandpa? Must feel good cuz you've been with the old man for 2years ya'll have a nice time together...but wait that means that you were like 16 when ya'll hooked up!! That's what the courts would consider STATUTORY RAPE!?! Nice job!

I strongly disagree that this will last and it is totally disgusting that your parents have been letting this old man rob you of you youth for the past 2 years. With parents like that,it makes me wonder if they've been letting you be with all sort of men throughout you childhood.I don't know you or the man but surely this will be bad.

No sorry that's gross. He'd possibly be older than your Dad. He might die of a heart attack soon anyway having to keep up with having sex with an 18 year old again. You got together when you were 16, is that illegal where you live? If it's not, it ought to be!

so he is 32 years older than you ? he must be as old or older than your dad. at the moment it may be great but he only has 15 years before he retires that will make you 47 & him 65. what do YOU think life with him will be like then ? it will be like living with your grandad at the moment he may love you he may make you feel good about yourself ? yes a older man seems more attentive more loving more concerned for your happiness BUT hes really more grateful than out else. i bet he cant believe his luck hes got you & as he gets older his own carer to look after him. what about children ? older people tend not to want children at there age. i think you should sit down & weigh out the pros & cons. get a hobby get more confidence then you will know the answer for yourself good luck

Uh, no. By the time you turn 20 he'll have moved on to molest another underage girl.
He's a sicko, toots, and so is your family for being "ok" with this. You need to seek help if these people have raised you because they're idiots and probably dangerous to your mental health.
