His career is definitely on the decline, but that doesn't mean he won't still be great next year. He's maturing and learning to accept a diminishing role in his team's success. He is no longer the player who can score 30 points and grab 15 boards night in and night out. This season was his loswest scoring season, because he was able to let Dwayne Wade be the leader. That's something he could never do with Kobe, and that's why they won the title this year. Shaq will definitely be good next year, even if his numbers don't show it.

Shaq is still the best center in the NBA. Numbers -wise I'll say Yoa MIng is Better. Yoa avg. 24.2 pts. and 10.8 rebs. last season. But what Shaq brings to the table you can't put numbers on it. Double and triple teams lead to D'Wade playing 1 on 1. Wide open shots for Antoine and J-Dub who were stars at one point. D'Wade wasn't the reason for the Heats success. If it wasn't for the big guy they would've struggled. The Bulls showed how bad D'Wade can be when you double and triple team him.

Wade was tripled teamed by the pistons and he averaged 30 points and 70% shooting...ben wallace tried to contain shaqw on hes own so dat 33 players could contain wade...i guess ppl have short term memories....shaq is gonna continue to decline and wade weill have to score more...but the pressense weill still be felt.
