i'd rather be deaf. i dont think i could live with no being able to see anything...i want to be able to see the beauty of the earth and everthing around me...i could handle being deaf becuase u can still see and can use sign language

As human beings we fear what we can not see, in other words darkness. Naturally, people will choose deafness over blindness because they'll be able to see whats coming. And yes I too would choose deafness.

I would choose being deaf, absolutely. I've worked with both blind people and deaf people, and it's a lot easier to cope with being deaf, from what I've seen. And I'm physically disabled (legs) myself, I know what it's like to be unable to do all you want to.

Deaf, I would rather be able to get around all I needed too. I could still know what people were saying by reading lips or notes or whatever. To be blind would be awful. I should know my Father just recently went blind. He has Macular Degeneration and he is devestated.

Deaf. When you are deaf, you can still drive and do everything everyone else can do. When you are blind, you can't drive and do a lot of things that everyone else can do.
I was legally blind for a year. I HATED it! I couldn't drive, I couldn't see the TV, I couldn't go for walks by myself, etc. It was a very, very tough year. I NEVER want that again!

If I really had to, I'd rather be deaf. Blind people cannot read and even freely move around, walk, drive to places.

Deaf- b/c it would suck 2 not see. I really don't want 2 hear all this crap that goes on in the world

Deaf. I love music, but I couldn't imagine a world of darkness. No colors, no beautiful fall leaves, nothing.
