If I say yes I lose credibility 'cause we all know that's almost impossible... but in the fair land of New Zealand, on the southern island I swear it happened... and what was there but a little lamb (it was sheep country)... read into that what you will... I have my own opinions & symbological sets at work. We walked over to the lamb as the sun dimmed and rainbow began to fade, and found three four leaf clovers. Now THAT'S a story, right?

I live in a place where there are many rainbows and I saw one a few weeks ago that was huge, I saw it from one end to the other and it stretched for miles. I know that it is made up of reflected water in the air so if I went to the end, I would not be able to see it (pretty sure).

Yes, you can demonstrate that the end of any rainbow is pretty much at your feet. Huh?!
Try this: With the sun behind you (not noon time...too high) get your garden hose a spray a light mist in front of you. See where the rainbow ends? Where does it end?
What does this suggest to you concerning the 'fable' of the treasure at the rainbow's end?

No, I do not believe rainbows acutally touch the ground, not being an authority on rainbows. My husband photographed a double rainbow last summer. Beautiful!

I have...it just kinda meshed into the grass. Well, there was a layer of mist on the field anyways, but yea, it just hit the ground at an arch. It wasnt as interesting as I had imagined. I actually dont understand what I was expecting, I mean, rainbow, ground, end.

YES!! Oh my gosh! Last Labor Day I was at Lake Powell and there was a rainbow that ended right where our boat was docked. It was the coolest thing because one day my hub and I chased a rainbow and tried to find the end. But last year it found us. Totally cool. We even have pictures!

There is no end to a rainbow, it has been proven that they go in a complete circle. So there is no pot of gold at the end of a rainbow.

Due to the refractive angle of the sunlight, you will never see the rainbow touching the ground.
But viewed from afar, it seems to be touching, so why not try chasing it and let us know the outcome. Hehe.
