It could be your body's reaction to the pill you can do one of two things.

- stop taking it now and return to your doctor to have him/her percribe a pill with diffrent hormone levels.

- continue with the pill and see if you body goes back to a more normal cycle. then go to you doctor and change the pill anyway.
Eventually you will find one that works perfect with your body.

Call your doctor and if you can't speak to him, ask to speak with a nurse. Have a nurse advice you on what to do. By all means don't go on Yahoo! Answers alone.

I guess you are thinking what's the point in birth control if I always have my period.
Good Luck

The whole time I was on the pill I would get really long (10-14 day) periods, but they were really light. Pre-pill, I used to get really heavy but shorter periods. Don't know which I preferred...

They went back to normal when I stopped the pill

If the bleeding has been consistently heavy, cal the doc back and tell him right away! i'm assuming that you have had a period along with "spotting" for two weeks. I'm not professional, but I know that hormone doses can be too high for some people and the doc can give you the one that's right for you. See what the doc or nurse says. You can usually get the nurse over the phone.

I'm on the pill and that has never happened to me. My periods are actually shorter than before. If you can't go see your doctor you should at least call him/her. When I have those kind of worries I call my doctor.

i had an 11 day period my first month of birth control, my doctor said during the first 3 months your body is getting used to it so adnormalities shouldn't be too worrisome. still, ask your doctor asap.
