I have worked in Government in England and do you know that when a President or Prime Minister takes over the government, that they do not fire all the democrats or republicans in power running such offices, as security, social security, pentagon etc. So my theory that these leaks that have happened in this Government are done by Democrats to try to put the republicans in a bad light in any way they can. They are still working in the Goverment and their jobs are not changed.

I don't think my theory is simplistic. It is a fact. The leaks and leakers are obvious to me. Why would anyone leak on their President if not to hurt him and who would benefit from that. Duh! as one of you said. Nothing simplistic just true.

Your view of the inner workings of government is disturbingly simplistic. The reality of how sensitive information is leaked is entirely different, and much more complex.

Listen to Exxton. Leaks are a complex problem.

You could regard "Deep Throat" of Watergate fame as a classic example. This was a top FBI official who was furious that he didn't get J. Edgar Hoover's job. His feelings were hurt. He squealed.

That's why people leak, their egos are hurt. Most democrats can work for a republican and keep their mouth shut and vice versa. We wouldn't have won the Cold War otherwise.
