I was thinking about piercing my own nose, but does anyone have any websites or know how to do it yourself, like what I need and all that in order to do it? I am 100% sure I wanna do it, and I trust myself enough that I can.

All you need is a small starter stud that has the sharp point on the post like they use on infants, then make sure you clean the area real good, and you position it where you want it, and push it thru without stopping, it will hurt like hell for a few seconds, and your eyes will water, but then it will be ok, just make sure as with any piercing, that you keep it clean. That is how I did mine.I just used a small stud with a cubic zirconia. Good Luck, jenisis

OK, here's some advice from a pierced mom...

Two of my teenage daughter's friends pierced their own noses. One decided it was in the wrong spot, so she let it grow closed and re-pierced it in a different spot. The second hole got infected and she had to let it grow closed anyway. The other girl tried one of those piercing guns you buy at the store and got it stuck (from what I'm told) because they are not designed to go through nose cartilage and the earrings are too short.

There is no reason I can think of to pierce your own nose unless you're trying to get away with having it done against your parent's wishes. And that's really not a good idea. Think about it. If you're not allowed to have your nose pierced, or if you have to take it out at school, you are going to have to take that stud in and out often before it is healed so you don't get caught. This can cause an infection and also keeps it from healing correctly which can leave a permanent scar that will be impossible to hide.

I took my daughter to have hers done professionally. (Hard to say no, because mine is pierced, too.) Try to approach your parents about this like an adult and if they still say no, accept it like an adult and get it done professionally when you turn 18.
