just make sure you are done having kinds before you do this, it can be reversed but depending on how its done you still may not be able to get prego.
I had my tubes tied in April and it was nothing. They give you an IV then nock you out. they put a breathing tube down your throat (because you'll be nocked out) so your throat may be a little sour afterwords. They make 2 tiny incisions, one in your belly button and one at your underwear line. they will place a weight in your uterus to keep it down, they put gas in your abdomen to make it easier to see what they are doing. they use a scope to see what they are doing. Their are a few ways to tie your tubes, they will cut each tube in half, and or burn the ends of the tubes, put a clamp on the ends of the tubes, or put a ring around the end of the tubes to keep them from releasing any more eggs. In my case they cut and burned the end of my tubes, and put the clamps on. they usually burn the ends of the tubes because the clamps and the tie can eventually pop off. their are usually only 3-4 stitches per incision. Their isn't much pain after the operation and you can usually do your regular routine after resting for one day and usually go back to work after about a week.

I had my tubes tied back in 1998. I had stitches righ above my belly button and that was it. I researched a lot before I decided to tie my tubes and found that the procedure is easier to recover from once done right after having the baby.

I had a tubal after c-section, and then 10 years later had them reconnected. Think carefully about whether you'd want more kids in the future before you do it! Better yet, get the guy to have his wires cut - much simper operation.
I used to b a surgical tech, and nowadays tubals are done through a little buttonhole incision in the belly button. Very simple, one day in the hospital, very little recovery time. Don't be afraid, if it's what you want!

I've had this procedure done and I can tell it is a good if you do not want to think anymore about birth control but I can tell in some people the mentrual cycle can be very painful afterwards.

I had it done and it is too easy. No pain before or after. A couple of stitches.

If you are having a C-section it won't be a big deal for you. They'll already be in there to begin with..
