Hey Everyone,
My friend and her family are very Christian. For example: She can't see Harry Potter movies, because there's magic in them. She can't go to halloween, and has to stay home when we celebrate at home, because it's not good for her. She's a normal girl, and her family is very friendly.
They invited me to come to a waterpark with them. Now, my friend wants to wear a bikini, like a do, but is not allowed to. I don't know what to wear to the waterpark, because I want to wear a bikini, but I'm scared her mom will not allow her to be my friend anymore. I want to stay myself, but I'm scared that my friend's mom will get a wrong impression of me. My friend is not allowed to wear a bikini because "it's too much exposure to the men" < that's a quote>.
Should I buy a bathingsuit or just go in my bikini?
Thanks! <3

Sounds like you are a very respectful girl and thoughtful of your friend and her family. Since you know that a bikini offends her family, and you do cherish this friendship, just go out and get yourself a cheap 1 peice for the day. This way, you wont offend her parents, and she will not fell uncomfortable in a 1 peice. You are their guest, and putting on a 1 peice won't be changing who you are. It will show repect for their beliefs and values.

Look at it this way. If the shoe was on the other foot what would you expect her to do? I don`t see anything wrong with a bikini but you might want to keep the peace here. Too me a one piece is a good way to go! And just to let you know I think a one piece is sexier because it forms to the body better and it looks like your wearing something from Victoria`s Secret !! I love a one piece!! Try that so you stay in the good graces of her family.. Oh yea by the way she`ll be buck wild when she gets away from them!!!

Oh boy. I know what you and your friend are going through. I lived this!! MY parents were like that. And my friends would be cautious around my parents so they wouldn't get preached at. I hated it. They did eventually lighten up a little bit. My advice to you is this, if you two are close friends I'd see about getting a one piece suit. Just to make her parents happy. Not to mention your friend will be very relieved too. She'll be grateful that you did that. She won't be embarrased by her parents comments or the preaching that would surely happen. And it'll make for a better day. There are some very cute one pieces now. And they are a better choice for a water park anyway. Save the bikini for another day.

Go ahead and buy a bathing suit. Not only for the sake of not shocking the mother into making your friend never see you again. But so that your friend doesn't feel bad because you are wearing what she can't (like rubbing her nose in it). Go ahead and wear the bathing suit and take one for the team. The team being friendship.

I would buy another bathing suit that was not as reveling. Her mother is right about too much exposure to the men. Personally when I go swimming, I don't like all those men starring at me like that. I guess the other girls like the men looking at their body but I sure don't. I am not going out there and advertise my body to the guys.

I would want to respect the family's values, and not rub my friends nose in it by wearing a bikini in front of her family when she can't. I would either
get a tankini or one piece (maybe borrow one off your friend if you don't have one), or
wear your bikini with a tshirt and maybe shorts

Wear a tankini. You'll cover more and still be stylin' plus it might give mom an idea of something nice that's not too revealing. Also have a nice cover for after swimming. Something stylin' but classy. You got it in you girl, be brave and suave.

I think you should wear a tankini... if her mom says that there's still to much exporsure for men then screw her and stay close friends with her daughter.

there are many HOT one pieces. Just because its a one piece doesn't mean its not going to look good. For example go to Victoria secrets( if you have one around you or go on the web site) and they have a really nice one pieces :)

it would show her parents respect if you do not wear a bikini. also, your friend would probably appreciate the gesture so she doesn't feel like she's missing out. you're a good friend to be so considerate to her and her parents feelings.
