My eye felt like I had a hair in it. I looked and there was nothing in it. So, I thought that maybe it was scratched. All day it has felt like dry and kinda itchy or like something was in it. And its getting sore now with redness and red veins running through it. The only place I was aroung other people was at a church meeting Monday and I don't remember anyone there having it. Does it take 2 or 3 days to show? If so, I guess I'll have to see a Dr. in the morning. In the meanwhile is there something I can do to relieve the pain? I used a saline rinse and that made it burn worse. Thanks!

It feels like it has a slight film over it in my vision, but there is no discharge or crust coming from it.

Don't put anything in your eye..if you want to splash some water in your eye and pat it dry..OK but don't go out and put anything in your eye or borrow medication from anyone..You could have what is called a "corneal abrasion" which is a scratch to the clear part of your eye..or possible a bacterial infection in your eye..don't wipe your eye and if you do wipe gently from the inner part to the outer eye and dispose of the tissue..if you wipe the other eye with the same Kleenex you could be passing the infection if it is infected to the other eye..also good hand washing and keeping away from others you live with until you find out what is wrong..you could pass it on to others . See the doctor in the morning and find out what is wrong..

Does it feel itchy? (don't rub!) Do you have any dishcharge? Were your eyes "matted" in the morning? That's a good indication of Pinkeye.

Be sure to see the Dr. no matter what. He/she will give you a prescription for drops, probably.

Once you put the drops in, you will feel better. If you do have pinkeye, you are contagious. Wash your hands frequently.

Sorry about your problem. I hope you feel better.

This is more than just pinkeye if it feels like there is something in your eye. Probably you have what is called "keratitis". If you are wearing contacts, take them out. Use some soothing eye drops like Murine and see your doctor if it does not get better within 24 hours.

See a doctor immediately if you have any pain.
