When I was employed they did. I am a stay at home home mom now. My husbands has an excellent health care plan. (I used to work for the same company.) We only have to pay a $15 co-pay for visits, almost everything is covered, we have dental and vision with little co-pays, surgery and hospitalization is covered, ER is $15 and from the moment your pregnancy test comes back positive you don't pay a dime until your six week post natal check up in which you pay $15. I am so appreciative of this. It is so worry free. Thank God!

Typically, the larger companies provide insurance. The smaller companies often can't afford it. I worked at one small company that provided insurance, but it wasn't great. They cut vision coverage while I worked there.

The interesting thing is it varied a lot depending on who you were. They covered both myself and my wife. With other employees, they didn't cover the wife.

My husbands does. They pay everything except $30 a month for dental.

Yep. I work for a hospital, though, so it's the exception, not the rule.
