Im asking myself the same question. I think things like this happen when u talk to a person over a long period of time. Its like knowing him/her personally. But I still believe in not getting yourself expect too much, unless you have been with the person in real life. Its not bad to feel something for another person even though he/she is far, but keep your brain still working so you can avoid any trouble in the future.

thats just being infatuated with the idea of them, since u don't know them in person, u don't really know them and u are probably even if subconcsiuosly putting ur ideas of what u want some one to be, on to them. For all u know they could have the most annoying butt scratching habit, that was a joke but seriously u should step back and wait to get to know them before falling head over heels just yet, they may not be who u think they are, and u may be putting unrealistic expectations on them that they really can't fill, which is not fair to them or yourself and will only cause heart ache later. I'm not saying that the two of u won't work out because u might i am just saying to be carefull and realistic, because chances are if u think u love them already with out meeting in person yet chances are u are not being realistic

I chatted with a person for 14 years and never met him. I knew all about his grand kids, life, job more than I knew about most of my friends. He died about a year ago. It was really strange mourning someone I'd never met or SEEN. I felt a strange void. I loved him like a brother. I cried when he died. I know first hand you can love someone you've never met them in real life or in this case... real death.
