Should I continue to plan my life, or am I just wasting time? Is the saying true - “He who fails to plan, plans to fail”?

It's all just an effort to take back control of your life. Just accept it and go with the flow, and you'll enjoy it more! :)
Remember, life is not about how many minutes you breathe...it's about the moments that take your breath away. Cliche, but true.

If you are troubled by having a plan and it going awry, do you think that you'd be better off having no plan at all? Sure, then there would be nothing to go awry, but you would be even more subjected to the forces of the universe (fate, destiny, whatever you want to call them). And you'd only have yourself to blame then, because you freely gave up any control that you did have, however minimal that might seem to be. Yes, I believe in the quotation you offer and I would encourage you to continue making plans but just be prepared and understanding if things don't work out according to your plan (you might even factor that possibility into your plan).

if you don't plan you can never fail. however you then can never succeed. so how do you measure your life?? to plan is to dream, some you go after and some you know are just out there to think of. I believe the final plan comes out in the end when it is actually over, cuz that WAS the plan. idle hands are the devils workshop. at least keep your mind occupied with where you think you'd like to be otherwise you'll end up with less then satisfactory.

Living life in the moment sounds great, but it can really screw you in the long run, trust me. Try starting with a rough outline, REAL rough. As in figure out what you believe and what you believe to be true and live by those principles, whether you know you want to be wealthy or you know you want to be a good person. But remember that life is unpredictable and forever changing, so keep your plan flexible.

Planning is important. You don't want to abuse your time planning, and not live your life because of it, but a good solid plan for something is always a better chance of success, and just have a flexible attitude. Maybe your plan will be altered later, but who cares? Sometimes plans are not altered, and when you see the end result, you will be happy you planned. If they are altered, they may lead to something even better. Who knows?

That is because its your plan and that your Father's plan he has already made for you. Follow his way and how can anything be against you? Set a course for your life but include your creator in it so he may guide and help you along the way to perfection. The Bible has all the answers. You just got to look for them. Start with Jesus the Christ. Accept him and rely on him and do for him. How can you go wrong with one whom never told any one to do badly?

Plan long, long term.......to eternity or death, whatever you believe. Keep your "life" goals as broad as possible.

Then live as spontaneously as possible. But, if you HAVE to do the dishes, or errands, be sure to enjoy just being alive and able to do them. Lots of people aren't....

Well, sugar...

If you fail to plan, then by default, you plan to fail.

Management 101 and all that.

Life's a journey, and a tough one (for most). Don't be a passenger.
